We are pleased to announce that Dr Flavie Vial will be speaking at the World Vaccine Congress Europe, taking place in Amsterdam this October.

Flavie will contribute to the Veterinary/One Health programme, where she will take part in a panel discussion titled: “Rethinking AMR priorities: choosing the targets that move the needle.” This session will bring together experts to explore how strategic prioritisation can accelerate progress in tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

In addition, Flavie will deliver a talk on: “Priority disease lists for new vaccines to reduce antimicrobial usage.” Her presentation will focus on how identifying and targeting key diseases can support the development of vaccines that reduce reliance on antimicrobials across human and animal health systems.

The World Vaccine Congress Europe is one of the leading events for vaccine science, policy and industry, and Flavie’s participation highlights our ongoing commitment to advancing One Health approaches to AMR.

We look forward to contributing to these important discussions and engaging with partners from across the global health community.

Global Health Security Conference (GHSC) 2026, Malaysia

ORBITS hosted a small, informal breakfast session to begin shaping the One Health Security Handbook, a collaborative, transdisciplinary resource for those working across biological threats in complex and fragile settings.

It was a focused, discussion-based session designed to share the vision for the handbook, explore its proposed structure, and begin identifying contributors. We were particularly keen to bring together perspectives from across research, policy and practice to ensure the resource reflects real-world experience.
